Prep your produce. Rinse the spinach or kale.
Peel the ginger. If using fresh banana, slice it for easier blending. Juice the lemon.
Add liquids first. Pour 1 cup of your chosen liquid into the blender.
This helps the blades catch the greens and blend smoother.
Layer thoughtfully. Add greens, ginger, and chia or flax. Then add pineapple and banana on top. Ice goes in last if you’re using it.
Blend until silky. Start on low, then increase to high for 45–60 seconds.
Add more liquid, a little at a time, if it’s too thick.
Taste and adjust. For more brightness, add extra lemon juice. For sweetness, add a bit more pineapple or a small date. For spice, add another sliver of ginger.
Serve right away. Pour into a chilled glass.
If you like a colder drink, toss in a few ice cubes and pulse again.
