Coconut Berry Smoothie - Creamy, Bright, and Refreshing

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes
Servings 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk (full-fat for creamier, light for fewer calories)
  • 1/2 cup coconut water or cold water (adds hydration and thins the texture)
  • 1 small ripe banana (fresh or frozen, for sweetness and body)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut (optional, for extra coconut flavor)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, rounds out the flavor)
  • Small pinch of salt (optional, enhances sweetness)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for extra chill and thickness if using fresh berries)

Instructions

  • Add liquids first. Pour the coconut milk and coconut water into your blender. This helps the blades catch and blend smoothly.
  • Add fruit and extras. Add the frozen berries, banana, shredded coconut, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
  • Sweeten to taste. Add honey or maple syrup only if your berries aren’t very sweet. Start small—you can always add more.
  • Blend until smooth. Begin on low to break up the frozen fruit, then increase to high for 30–45 seconds. If it’s too thick, add a splash of water; if it’s too thin, add a few ice cubes or more frozen berries.
  • Taste and adjust. Check sweetness and texture. Add another drizzle of sweetener or a bit more coconut milk if needed.
  • Serve right away. Pour into a chilled glass. Sprinkle a little shredded coconut or a few extra berries on top if you like.
